The idle adjustment screw wasn’t even touching the plate that it pushes against to keep the throttle and accelerator linkage open. After giving it a almost 2 turns, I was not only able to keep the engine running, but even after stopping it, the starter turned right over and things went humming along with the throttle cable pushed all the way in and no pumping of the accelerator. All in all, I think I fixed my most pressing issue at this point. Ike is almost like a new Jeep. Just enough for some travel in 4 wheel drive. Nothing too exciting, but still a good little run to try and get that screw to vibrate loose again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
After doing as much research as possible on my Solex carb and coming up with almost nothing (@#$!@^%$&), I finally got Ike idling like he should.
